Lodge your claim online. No need for paper forms and drawings. You can show the damage to your car using our computer generated picture. Or email us photos.
Every claim is different. We’ll review your claim, get back to you with any questions and answer any of yours. We’ll also tell you what excess there is and tell you how we’ll look after your claim.
One we have a quote from your chosen repairer our assessor will inspect the damage, review the quote and provide us with a report. We’ll let you know the outcome of the assessment and tell you when we approve the claim, if more information is required or if there’s a problem.
Repairing your car
Find a repairer that suits you, drop it off, tell us and we’ll let you know when it’s ready. Make sure you’re happy with the job. If not tell the repairer. If you can’t get any satisfaction, tell us so we can sort it out.
Car can’t be found or fixed?
This is called a total loss. We’ll pay you (or your finance company if you don’t own it outright) the amount your car is insured for (less any excesses, premium and registration if relevant). If it’s new, (12 months or less), we’ll replace it with a new one.
Hire car
If you have our Hire Car option, we’ll organise it for you and try and match the type of hire car to the car you insured with us. You automatically get 7 days car hire (if you need it) and up to 21 days in total.
If you don’t have our Hire Car option you can hire a car through our partner Thrifty at special rates. Contact Thrifty, tell them you’re a Buzz customer and tell them your policy number.
If you have questions, or notice any additional accident-related damage, let us know. We’ll check it out and work with your repairer to sort it out. We guarantee repairs.
